En este paso a pao vamos a aprender como pintar un marine espacial del capitulo Puños Imperiales del juego de mesa Warhammer 40.000. Muchos de los pasos son específicos para pintar un material reflectante ocre, pero puedes usarlos en cualquier miniatura. Si necesitas representar otro tipo de material menos reflectante como ropa o algo así simplemente mantén el contraste un poco más bajo, por ejemplo saltandote una o dos de las últimas luces y alguna sombra.
Al final del paso a paso os voy a enseñar como pinto yo un freehand en la hombrera. El proceso para pintar freehands es siempre el mismo. para aquellos que se lo están preguntando, no hay atajos para esto, es una pregunta recurrente pero siento decir que para pintar freehands el único camino es el camino difícil.
Esta miniatura es un poco vieja así que algunas de las pinturas que utilicé ya no están ala venta desde que games workshop cambió su gama, permitidme entonces que utilice nombres genéricos como "ocre". No es importante si utilizais exactamente el mismo bote de pintura que yo, sino que entendais porqué lo uso y como funciona en combinación con los otros colores. Cambiar una marca o un color un poco no va a alterar el resultado final demasiado asi que sentíos libres de usar vuestros propios colores.

In this step by step we'll learn how to paint a Imperial Fist line space marine for the Warhammer 40.000 board wargame. As most of the steps are especially to paint an ochre reflecting material you can use it for every minaiture you want. If you need another kind of material less reflective as clothes or something, just keep the contrast a little bit lower.
At the end of the step by step I will show you how to paint a freehand in the shoulder pad. process to paint every freehand is almost the same. For those of you that are wondering, no there are no cheats to paint freehands. It's a recursive question, but i'm sorry, the only way is the hard way :(
This miniature is a little older, so many paints I used are not for sale now since games workshop changed its' range, so please allow me to use generic names as "ochre". It's not important if you use or not the exact color bottle, just that you understand why i'm using the colors and how they look with the other ones. Changing range or colour a little bit will not affect the final looking so much so please be free to use your owns :)

Lo primero de todo es dar una capa base de ocre. La he dado a pincel y luego he unificado un poco con aerografo usando el mismo color.
First of all is painting an ochre base. I used normal brush and then i unified a little with the same color in the airbrush
Comenzamos a iluminar con aerógrafo dando unas luces generales con la base y un poco de amarillo más puro o un amarillo arena
We start to aply general airbrush lights using base and a little bit of a pure yellow or sand yellow.
Seguimos iluminando de forma cenital utilizando un amarillo claro
We continue painting lights with airbrush in cenital way using a pale yellow.
Aplicamos las últimas luces con un blanco amarillento, pero casi blanco.
Last lights are a white yellow, almost white.
utilizo un poco de base para limpiar la transición un poco.
I used base to smooth transitions.
La primera sombra es la base con algo de magenta, que es un complementario del amarillo, lo que va a aportarnos algo de riqueza al color.
First shadow is base with some magenta, this is a complementary color of yellow so it will give us some richness.
Seguimos sombreando esta vez solo con magenta.
We continue painting shadows using just magenta
para las últimas luces añadimos algo de marrón oscuro y una pizca de negro.
last lights have some dark brown and a point of black.
Pintamos los perfilados interiores con un marrón oscuro casi negro y una pizca de magenta.
We use a dark brown almost black with some magenta to paint inner outlines.
Pintamos con negro puro la base de las piezas de ese color.
We use pure black to paint base for that color's pieces.
Iluminamos el negro añadiendo gris
We painted lights adding grey too black.
Utilizo una base de carne algo agrisada para la cara.
I used a grey flesh base for face.
Trabajamos las luces añadiendo carnes más claras y algo de blanco y amarillo, y las sombras usando rojos marrones y magentas.
We work on lights adding pale flesh, some white and yellow, and shadows using red,s browns and magentas.
Comenzamos los perfilados exteriores de la armadura con un amarillo claro.
We start the outside outlines of the armor with a pale yellow.
Y los terminamos con un blanco.
And we finish them with white.
Hacemos lo mismo usando grises para los de las partes negras.
We did the same using greys for the black parts.
vamos a empezar el freehand. Dibujamos unas formas básicas y comenzamos a definirlas con perfilados sencillos. Es importante que las lineas dibujadas en este paso sean firmes.
We'll start freehand. We draw some basic forms and start to add definition with simple outlines. It's very important that drawed lines in this step are stratight and firm.
Trabajamos los volumenes básicos del dibujo con luces y sombras.
We work on the basic volumes of the drawing with lights and shadows.
Añadimos detalles más pequeños siguiendo el mismo esquema de antes para cada uno de ellos.
We add more smaller details using the same process as before in every one of them.
rematamos el dibujo con los detalles más pequeños y corregimos y remarcamos lo que sea necesario.
We finish the drawing with the smallest details and we correct or remark if needed.
únicamente nos queda la base, utilizo el aerografo para pintar un no metal viejo y sencillo.
Just base left, I used airbrush to draw an old and simple non metallic.
