CATWOMAN: 30mm from Batman, the miniature game

Catwoman is a fictional character created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with superhero Batman. The character made her debut as "the Cat" in Batman #1 (Spring 1940), and her real name is Selina Kyle. She is Batman's most enduring love interest and is known for her complex love-hate relationship with him.

Catwoman is a Gotham City burglar who typically wears a tight, one-piece outfit and uses a bullwhip for a weapon. She was originally characterized as a supervillain and adversary of Batman, but she has been featured in a series since the 1990s which portrays her as an antiheroine, often doing the wrong things for the right reasons. The character thrived since her earliest appearances, but she took an extended hiatus from September 1954 to November 1966 due to the developing Comics Code Authority in 1954. These issues involved the rules regarding the development and portrayal of female characters that were in violation of the Comics Code, a code which is no longer in use. In the comics, Holly Robinson and Eiko Hasigawa have both adopted the Catwoman identity, apart from Selina Kyle.

I painted this miniature from Knight Models a couple of weeks ago. It's really small and proportionated, also, very hard to paint contrasted and shine as it's almost all black.

The miniature is a commission work for a private collector.

Infinity Armand Le Muet

Hi guys.

Another miniature added to my usual Pan-O commission, but this time it's a Merc, so you can use it in addition to any other army you want (remember I'm not an expert in play game).

Armand is an awesome mini, easy to paint and good looking at any table. Hope you like it too.

So what you really are is a triple agent, a mute Tohaa ('le Muet': the mute, in French) not able to speak the pheromonic language, who roams the Human Sphere and will murder for any side. Your sole distraction is music, and mangling a harpset performance is your way to keep the stress and paranoia from driving you insane.

By now you're wondering whether this whole thing is OK. All these lies within lies, all this killing and harm. Let me put you at ease: it is. It is the right thing to do. It is necessary. Your race needs you. This is the only way to save our civilization, and you are a key component of this masterplan. Even if it takes messing with your memories like this.

To recap: your name is Armand le Muet. No, it isn’t. Your name is Armaan Leemue, or so you think. You are a hired assassin who will work for any side. But that is not entirely true, either. Painting Techniques - video 10/10

Hi, all.

Those days for most of us are a bit Boring. Some countries are experiencing a quarantine because of Covid-19 Alert. Spain is one of those countries.

So to combat loneliness I'm releasing some old videos that were exclusive of my old Kickstarter. This is the last one.

In this video, we'll paint a complete complex freehand on a banner.

The Creature: Tiny Lead's Kickstarter "The Middle Land"

Yesterday one of my very old friends on this hobby, Antonio Fernández "Piqui", Owner of Tiny Leads, launched a new miniature's Kickstarter campaign to release a new line based on the old RPG games from '80s and '90s. It's called "The Middle Land"

It was successfully funded very fast, so I beg you to check it as Tiny Leads has a very particular vision of the miniatures always, with very expressive characters.

Also, They ask me if I can paint one of the 4 starting miniatures for them, "The Creature" in a very dark atmospheric way with a very greyish colour scheme. As he has only skin you can imagine what a challenge is to create something interesting with not so much colour, so I decided to go for a very contrasted OSL and projected painted shadows with a secondary orange light source and blue reflects.

Also, this Box Art is available at the campaign as a pledge level (as many others from other artists), so if you like it and wanna add it to your collection maybe you can check it out!

Painting Techniques - video 09/10

Hi Guys.

Those days for most of us are a bit Boring. Some countries are experiencing a quarantine because of Covid-19 Alert. Spain is one of those countries.

So to combat loneliness I'm releasing some old videos that were exclusive of my old Kickstarter. This is the 9th one.

In this video, we'll apply all techniques learned previously in other videos to paint a cloak. First, we'll overall paint everything with an airbrush to finish it later with the brush. Also we'll introduce some freehand too.

Infinity DEVA

Hi all infinity Players!

I keep painting Infinity commissions, and this one is one of my favourites (don't she remember you team rocket?). Deva is another addition to the Pan-O army I'm painting.

ALEPH has at its disposal military biosynthetic bodies specifically designed to host Aspects or partial representations of its own self. These Ghosts are designated with the code-name ‘Deva’. In Indian Vedic hymns, Deva is an ambiguous term, denoting both gods and demons. To ALEPH, Devas are the core of its immune system.

Their main function is to make ALEPH’s plans easier and to eliminate problems before they can spread. They have the improved physique of an Olympic athlete, incredibly fast with amazing stamina. They are the most common tactical Aspects in the Special Situations Section, working as operatives or military advisors as the AI directs. The Deva Functionaries are transferred to armies and security forces who petition ALEPH for them, according to the given threat level. They are often deployed individually, receiving an equivalent officer level, but they stand always out from the command line. The Devas fit into their assigned units to act as liaisons, field advisors and, if necessary, a combat support force. When they enter action they are serene, dispassionate and very fast, obeying orders with coldly logical precision. Independent of scenario or circumstance, a Deva’s behaviour in combat is always efficient and professional... inhumanly so.
