Kingdom Death Laurie the librarian

Stories lament the fall of the Grand Library in hushed tones. The surviving archivists and their sworn knights fled clutching precious armfuls, all that remains of the knowledge assembled by humanity. Today the Twilight Order is scattered, working in isolated pairs to do and record what little good they can.

Another 30mm painting work on those beautiful and tiny miniatures from the kingdom death range. Hope you like it.

Vandus Hammerhand

Vandus Hammerhand is a sworn enemy of the Dark Gods. As Lord-Celestant of the hammers of Sigmar his warriors fight as one, energised by his purpose and might. Vandus was the first to tame a celestial Dracoth, and the first to harness the beast’s ability to breathe bolts of magical force. Respected by all, and trusted implicitly by Sigmar himself, he is haunted constantly by visions of his mortal tribe’s death – these visions spur him to astonishing acts of vengeance against Chaos in the Mortal Realms.

Vandus Hammerhand, iconic Lord-Celestant and stoic leader of many Stormcast Eternals victories, mounted on a powerful Dracoth. He wields a Tempestos Hammer in one hand and clutches the reins of this Dracoth in the other, with a banner of Sigmar streaming above his magnificent headgear. His dense armour is covered in hammer and lightning symbols – the lithe, furious form of the Dracoth is likewise encased in similar plate.

Vandus Hammerhand was a private commission done for a collector this year. I do not have so many Games Workshop commissions lately, but I still enjoy painting this range of models so every oportunity is a time for fun to me. Hope you like it.

Kingdom Death White Speaker

The White Speaker's face, hidden behind a veil aptly symbolizes the strange cult of towering women warriors. Their savage blood magic and battle readiness are notorious but almost nothing is known about the secrets that unite them.

Another commission miniature from the Kingdom Death range I paimnted recently for a private customer. A simple but pretty miniature that's going to look awesome on every table or cabinet.

Cypher

There is one whom the Masters of the Dark Angels seek above all others. He is a being wrapped in shadow, an entity whose motives and methods are an enigma; even the name by which he is known alludes to concealment – though whether it is a metaphor or yet another conundrum is unknown. He is Cypher, and to the Dark Angels, he is nothing less than their most hated foe.

Let me introduce you one miniature I painted for a private collector that are one of my favourites this year: Cypher.

There was a long time since my last space marine, miniatures I always love to paint. This one was special for me as is not only one of my best ones, it's my first one in a high dynamic battle scene getting fire from enemy, a special effect I never tried before and thta works perfectly on this my in my oppinion.

Hope you like it as much as I do.

Kingdom Death Male Chef

Chefs train from childhood to know the palate of a particular noble house by consuming a diet of table scraps and refuse. Each noble's favorite dishes reliably perfected through careful gustatory study. Great Game Hunters are so well nourished by their chefs that their bodies form dependencies on a chef's cooking. The health of a Great Game Hunter that loses their chef is sure to dwindle without an adequate replacement.

This kingdom death miniature, 30 mm size, was painted as commission during past months. Hope you like it!!

Infinity Beta trooper

 Hi all.

This model was painted to fit as a Dakini one to replace them in the old Aleph army. Dakini are great models but are too fragile to play safety with them (and to ship to the other side of the world, to Australia).

We decided to use this model as is thicker and stronger. Also, we used some parts of a broken Dakini in the base. Finally, it looks very close to the original one and does its job perfectly on the army.

Wild Bill

" I'VE DANCED WITH THE REAPER MORE'N A FEW TIMES MYSELF. NOW SHE DANCES TO MY TUNE. "

If Wild Bill is in the mix, you know there's a wager going on. The higher the risk, the sweeter his inevitable reward. A bona fide card shark and unerring gunslinger, this mysterious, anachronistic gentleman fixated on the march of time is this season's leading contender to the title of Bahadur. If you want to win big, go ahead and bet against him, but be aware: so far he hasn't lost a gamble.

Gabriele de Fersen

Hospitaller Knight Father-Officer Gabriele De Fersen

“We don’t give or ask for quarter! Kill them all, God will recognize his own!” Attributed to Father-Officer De Fersen, Action of the Horns of Hessen, Paradiso.

Gabriele de Fersen was a young, successful programmer who enjoyed a life full of depravity and excess. However, after suffering a dramatic naval accident in which he almost died, he reconsidered his behaviour. De Fersen found God and decided to ask for admission to the Holy Order of the Temple. The Order offered him a way to sanctify his eagerness for excitement, dedicating his efforts to the works of God and allowing him to serve through his technical knowledge. De Fersen devoted himself body and soul to prepare for the holy war in the tough instruction monastery of Santiago of Neoterra, in Aquila. With the last of his savings, he paid for a combat implant, of Templar manufacture, that allows him to activate accelerated combat routines. De Fersen became a disciplined Templar Knight who received his baptism of fire in the final death rattles of the NeoColonial Wars. On the battlefield, he proved to have bullet-proof faith and confidence, as well as a touch of indomitable aggression. At the end of the conflict, he returned to Neoterra where he continued polishing his military and battle programming abilities. At that time, he had already forged a fearsome reputation as a warrior intelligent as he was fierce.

After the order of the Temple’s dissolution and the investigation into its heresy by the Holy Inquisition, De Fersen was subjected to deep questioning and scrutiny to find if he was involved in the blasphemous plot. He had to face a court-martial and voluntarily underwent an ordeal, a trial by God, from which he emerged victoriously. Once declared innocent of the charges of apostasy and artificial intelligence programming, he was allowed to transfer to the Order of the Hospital. Nevertheless, his former link with the Temple is considered as a fault and a stain on his spirit and record, meaning he will never be promoted inside his new Order beyond his current rank.

During the Ariadna Commercial Conflicts, De Fersen was posted to the Units of Mercy, those responsible for recovering the wounded from the battlefront and rescuing prisoners. The missions undertaken by the Hospitallers of Mercy are risky in the extreme, requiring maximum precision. De Fersen proved capable enough to take tactical command of these units, managing to the last detail the preparation and execution of missions. The name of De Fersen passed into the annals of the Order in the Horns of Hessen, on Paradiso, where he ambushed and destroyed a reinforcement column of the EI’s Combined Army. The time bought by De Fersen’s small Unit of Mercy allowed PanOceanian troops to destroy the main Morat force’s rearguard, rescue numerous prisoners, and capture important technical and strategic information.

CORE SPACE boxart

 Hi guys.

Recently I did a cooperation work with Studio Giraldez on some minis for the Kickstarter of Battlesystems Core Space: First Born.

It's my first time working with Angel and even with the rush to finish the minis on time, everything went fine. I did most of the work on those minis and lately, Angel added the final touches to integrate into the studio's style.

During those 2 weeks, I painted 6 minis with them. But only 5 were released until I noticed. Those are:

Hope you like them!

KOT the Holy Sepulchre

The Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre is stationed on Earth and is charged with acting as the last line of defence for the PanOceanian territories and sacred sites. Its members are chosen from the elite of the other Orders’ troops, as all are skilled Father-Officers. The Sepulchrist Knights, lovers of close combat, are units focused on special security and heavy assault, serving as much as an example as a challenge to all other PanOceanian officers. The Knights of the Holy Sepulchre protect Humanity’s birth and sacred places as they are considered the best of the best, and their records confirm it. In the NeoColonial Wars, during the unsuccessful Water Lily Offensive over Hong Kong, the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre’s battalion stood firm until the very end. They were commanded by Abbot-Colonel Acuña and fought like lions, holding their position until the last man from the decimated PanOceanian combat force was evacuated. Then they retreated from the battlefield in perfect combat formation. No officer from the victorious army of Yu Jing dared raise his hand against them as they withdrew. The Sepulchrist Knights left the battlefield as if they had just attended a military parade. Proud, with blue armor covering them from head to toe, and with white robes waving gently in the wind, they boarded their air transport while the Yu Jing army watched with a mixture of admiration, respect and relief.

Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is a frequent accomplice and lover of the Joker, who was her patient when she worked as an intern psychiatrist at Gotham City's Arkham Asylum. Her alias is a play on the name "Harlequin", a character that originated in commedia dell'arte. She has also teamed up with fellow villains Poison Ivy and Catwoman, the trio being known as the Gotham City Sirens; Ivy is a close friend and romantic interest of Harley. Since The New 52 comics, she has been depicted as an antihero and a recurring core member of the Suicide Squad who has left her abusive relationship with the Joker behind; however, in most other media the character is still depicted as a supervillain and the Joker's girlfriend.

I painted this miniature from Knight Models before vacations. It's really small and proportionated, very hard to paint, but also very cool. Harley Quinn was represented recently in an excellent way in cinemas.

The miniature is a commission work for a private collector.

Infinity: Helots v2.

Its native inhabitants are a semi-intelligent species: the Helots. The economy of Varuna is centred around industrial biotech firms, factories and marine farms where the Helots are the main working resource.

Other 3 Helots painted a bit different than the last time. Greyish skin, some rust on bases to add contrast and broke the blue's predominance, a bit more saturated browns...

Hope you like them!

Kingdom Death: Pinup Wet Nurse

The Pinup Wet Nurse is the first pinup re-imagining of a Kingdom Death monster. The Wet Nurse is the most talked-about monster in our range to date. Now it's reimagined for our pinup range by Lokman!

As Always, a challenge to paint something from Kingdom Death. Also, very hard to photograph. You can't imagine how tiny and small those minis are!

This time I played with transparent clothes, so almost everything (dress, panties, bra...) has some transparency degree showing skin under it.

Hope you like it!

Infinity: Croc Man

Veteran scout squads from the brutal Paradiso front. The Regiment was founded in the wake of the Ravensbrücke Retreat debacle. After evacuating the city under the pretence of a biochemical leak, several PanOceanian divisions were deployed along the urban perimeter to stop the alien advance. Tragically, they were soon overwhelmed by superior enemy numbers. In the chaotic retreat that ensued, the remains of the decimated Polynesian Division lost contact with their Command post and decided to mount a desperately fierce last stand in the Financial District, overlooking the jungle around it. Their sacrifice made it possible to evacuate the defenceless rearguard garrison and campaign hospitals. By the time they were able to regroup, eighty per cent of the Division was KIA. The survivors formed the core of the Crocodile Men Regiment. Although the Regiment is no longer composed exclusively of ethnically Maori people, they still observe the traditions of its founders, including their distinctive tattoos and subdermal piercings. Croc Men specialize in missions involving Covert Incursion, Surveillance, Tactical Recovery, and Search and Destroy in enemy territory. Their preferred MO is to appear unexpectedly, attack viciously for a moment and then withdraw back into the shadows, giving the enemy little time to react. Croc Men are known to be ferocious enemies, the kind that is best not to aggravate… at least not if you haven’t gotten around to choosing a colour for your coffin.

Another addition to the Combined Army I'm painting on commission. Croc Man is an awesome miniature very easy to paint and with one of the best-sculpted faces I found on this scale. I had a very good time painting this guy.

Kingdom Death: Pinup Chef Female

Many Great Game Hunters would readily accept death before accepting a poor meal. Their travelling kitchens are obstinately impractical, able to produce a feast under even the harshest circumstances. Rival houses know that a surefire way to hamstring their competitors is to find a weakness in their kitchen. An extra-rich stew laying too heavy in the belly or a spoiled, gut-wrenching ingredient may be a hunter's undoing. To this end, hunters shower their chefs with riches and keep the threat of grievous harm close at hand.

Painting Kingdom Death pinups it's always something strange to me. I'm always afraid before starting because they are usually very hard and fragile miniatures who deserve very special care and I'm not always confident enough in my skills. Also, at the same time, I enjoy a lot the challenge and I usually like them a lot once done.

This time it was harder for me, don't know why but it finished not in the way I had previously in my head, not worst or better, just different.

This time I don't know what to say about her.

Infonity: Orc with feuerbach

Only the best soldiers can aspire to join the heavy infantry units that make up the Heavy Tactical Group, better known as “Orc Troops”. The nickname, Orc, originates from the name of the company that develops their combat armour, the ORC Corp. (Omnia Research Creation Corporation). The Orc Troops have earned the reputation of being veterans that always take part in the most aggressive operations. As multi-purpose heavy infantry, Orc troops are assigned to the fronts of the most intensive battles, to establish the toughest line of resistance, and to try and break through the enemy lines.

As another complement of the infinity combined army, I'm painting as commission, this Orc is one of the funniest miniatures I painted recently. Cold tones are a priority here, also an intense blue was a requirement.

Hope you like it.
